Since a dinner party can a less formal party, we recommend that you email your invitations. This will allow you to cut down on your prep time, as well as easily manage your RSVP's. Depending upon how many people you are inviting, you may wish to set up your invitation to email you when people RSVP so that you don't have to remember to check in on how many people are coming to your party.

If you don't want to go to the lengths of creating an Evite, feel free to send out a nicely worded email inviting people to your dinner party. Many email programs also offer "stationery" or "background" so you can customize the look of the email to suit the mood you want to set for your dinner party.

Rarely would we send printed invitations for a dinner party unless we were throwing the party for a really special event - such as an anniversary party, a shower, or a birthday party.
