Baby Shower Favors
Baby Shower favors are fun to put together because the "baby" theme automatically gives you lots of ideas to play with. Here are a few of our favorite ideas:
M & M's -- Cookies -- Candles -- Baby Powder
Glass Baby Bottles filled with Custom Printed M&M's
Custom printed M&M's are always a crowd pleaser. Customizing M&M's allows you to choose the color and message you want printed on them. Select pink or blue M&M's depending on whether the mom-to-be is expecting a boy or a girl. If she is keeping the baby's gender a surprise, order a mix of both pink and blue or try yellow and green or go with the colors from your invite to carry you theme all the way through. "Mom 2 Be," "Baby Boy," "Baby Girl," are just a few ideas for messages that you can choose to have printed. Fill small, glass baby bottles with the M&M's and voila! You have a special, unique favor.
Baby Shower Cookies
Buy or make sugar cookies in various baby-themed shapes and icing colors (baby bottles, rocking horse, duck, baby carriage, blocks). Wrap cookies with cellophane wrapper tied with ribbon.
Another idea is fortune cookies, with custom-printed fortunes, which are affordable and easy to order online. The message can say, for example, "Amanda's Bundle of Joy is on its way. Due Date: May 12, 2009."
Candles
You can easily turn regular votive candles into shower favors. You can buy powder scented candles, and wrap them in silk organza tied with pretty ribbon. Another idea is to buy baby shower candles online. We especially love these "Bun in the Oven" candles or the cute kitchen timer favors!
Mini Johnson & Johnson Baby Powder
Nothing reminds people of babies more than the scent and feel of Johnson & Johnson's Baby Powder. You can find the mini-sized Baby Powder bottles in the childcare or sample-size aisles of your local drugstore. Tie a grosgrain ribbon around the neck of the powder bottle to turn them into an instant favor.
