We are two Los Angeles-based women who live for cooking and entertaining at home. We believe there is no better way to spend time with friends and loved ones than gathered around a delicious feast in the comfort of our own home. People tend to stay longer, talk more, and are far more relaxed in a home setting rather than a bar or restaurant. And with today’s economy, entertaining a group of people at home is less expensive than the price of a night out, so it’s simply more practical and economical than going out all the time.
Our guests constantly say, “I could never do this myself.” Either they want to, but don’t know where to begin, or they feel it’s just too much work or expense. We decided to create The Simple Feast in order to share our recipes, tips, time lines and advice. Our goal is to show inexperienced cooks just how simple it is to pull off an affordable, elegant party in your own home. We also show more experienced cooks how much easier entertaining can be.
